Sound View #05 - Where It All Begins
(06 January 2026)
It all began with a sound
At 14, the piano taught me to listen to what resonates. To feel what I didn’t know how to express with words, and what I didn’t dare to say, for that matter...
Music then became my true language, my way of feeling the world.
A language without explanation, but full of meaning. It allowed me to externalize my inner world.
There are emotions we don’t know how to translate, so we silence them, we lock them away in gestures that don’t say what they’re meant to say.
We smile to hide sadness, we keep busy to avoid feeling emptiness, we talk a lot to avoid listening to ourselves.
But what if the most important thing isn’t to know how to say it, but simply to dare to feel what is seeking to be acknowledged within us?
It’s not always about understanding sometimes, it’s about letting it resonate.
Then music becomes a passage, a hand extended to oneself.
Years later, this quest expanded. I added matter, color, minerals.
Painting came to extend this inner movement.
Today, I create works of a unique kind: paintings that vibrate with their own music. A piece where each note is born from the canvas itself.
And that’s where the whole process begins: Listening to the painting… listening to oneself and letting the music emerge.
Since then, I’ve been exploring this vibration, this intimate space between matter, emotion, and expression.
As we enter this new year 2026, I wish you moments of beauty, vibrations that resonate with your deepest self.
Focus on INNER MAP
The memory of a world etched in matter
From the mastery of fire to the present day, 500,000 years of humanity are concentrated in this sound painting.
But more than a historical narrative, it is a path toward an intimate cartography.
The painting is created using raw pigments, rubbed by hand onto a mineral material I shape myself.
This deliberately archaic gesture echoes the first imprints, the earliest attempts at human presence.
We move through time, through the resonances of the world… until we find ourselves face to face with what is essential.
INNER MAP – 100 × 75 cm – pigments – built-in listening system – immersive sound experience in Spatial Audio – headphones provided.
➕ To go further, INNER MAP is one of the works on view at the CHAL Art Studio in Bourdeau.
An immersive experience awaits you there, between painting and music, where each work invites you to listen to what vibrates...

From Prehistory to Contemporary Art: A Dialogue with the First Gestures
A gesture that connects
The act of rubbing raw pigment onto a stone. Nothing spectacular.
Yet in this movement, something opens a dialogue, ancient and full of memory.
Before brushes, before technique, there was that first human, crouched against the wall of a cave, who traced a shape for the very first time.
When I rub pigments onto stone, it feels like returning to the origin of visual language.
It’s reconnecting with the body that speaks, the silence that vibrates—before it became code or representation.
What moves me in this practice is that it transcends time.
I paint with my hands, and in that direct contact with the material, I feel something universal and timeless.
Each painting is a fragment of that dialogue.
A bridge between the first gestures of humanity and our need to rediscover meaning, truth, and life.
